I'm not at all sure about you're remaining issue as I don't use the Random Song Mix feature. I usually just use Sugarcube as a means of 'filling in' after an album / playlist has completed until I get around to choosing another (which can sometime be a long time :D). It's rare that the mood gets completely thrown like that!
