Triode, I was playing with the latest Squeezelite recently with a new DAC (CA DacMagic 100) and noticed Squeezelite was no longer doing gapless (!?!)
Playing live albums I noticed small, but noticeable, 'glitches' between tracks. This has never happened through any SB hardware. Files are ALAC, but the glitches also happen converting to WAV server-side. Tried ASIO DS and WASAPI. same outcome. Switching back to onboard Realtek sound and the glitches are a tad smaller, but still there.
