Ok, just tried the Emotiva XDA2, which is an asyncrhonous class-2 DAC. It play 44k tracks just fine, but when I play a 96k file it plays it at 44k. Then, when I switch back to a 44k track, it plays it at 96k, complete with all the strange audio artifacts you'd expect! And from here on in, it insists on playing the wrong sampling frequency for all tracks. I have to kill the player and restart it in order to get it to play 44k tracks at the proper frequency.
I cannot imagine why it would get so confused. This makes no sense to me. Jason (who's getting ready to accept that only 44k tracks will work with this damn thing) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ doctor_big's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15196 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102653 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
