Have you tried a complete new setup of the Odroid U3 with Max2Play?
Means writing a new SD-card with an actual image.
Have you tried with another USB-drive, another USB-cable, another
power-supply, ... ?
Whatelse is connected to your Odroid?
Is your Odroid running at its limits ('mpstat'
