hi SamS,

Just a bit of irrelevant? information, LMS on PC and Sueezebox player
not piCorePlayer.

Years ago, I was monitoring the network traffic on my LMS PC. I noticed
a burst of traffic some seconds before the end of each track. Then, the
traffic dropped to almost zero. I assumed, that this traffic burst was
the next track being loaded into the buffer on the Squeezebox. So if you
have a network problem, it may not be able to load the buffer and play
at the same time. I guess, making the cache smaller, means that the
network traffic would be spread over longer time??? Food for thought or
just rubbish?

regards
Greg
