Greg, I think you're onto something.  Assuming this traffic "burst" is
indeed causing the issue, how is it a network problem, as opposed to a
'player' problem?  I tend to blame the player, as it doesn't happen on
other Squeeze devices.  And (oddly?), it doesn't happen with the pCP
connected to the HifiBerry Digi, feeding audio via S/PDIF.
