Thanks. I'm now trying to reinstall, and so far the browser interface won't come back for the second phase. But once I hit "Clean" and cold rebooted once, it lauched the reinstall process, so I'm assuming the card is good. If I can't get it to come back - possibly by cold rebooting again if it doesnt come back in a while - I'll try with a new card.
