So I got a Pi2 board and substituted it for the older one. I got the appropriate software for the Pi2 and put it on the microSD card. I began the network/wi-fi setup and alas, the touchscreen Pi2 would not connect to my LAN by ethernet. I tried reloading the software several times onto the microSD card. I began to notice that there were some problems with the router's DHCP table so I decided that the time was right to make a router switch (I always have one in reserve) The new router would not connect to the touchscreen player either. I then put the older B+ board back in place and loaded its software: it connected to the LAN by ethernet without a problem. My conclusion is that the Pi2 board is defective. So I still have the touchless touchscreen :( Thanks. http://zzzone.net http://have-a-nice-day.org http://www.last.fm/user/zzzoneDOTnet http://somethingsomethingsomething.net SBS 7.9 - i7 laptop - Win 8 64bit 5 Booms, 2 Radio, 3 Touch, 1 Duet, 5 piCorePlayers including 1 touchscreen, 1 Avy 2 controllers, various tablets/phones Apps including iPeng, Squeeze Ctrl etc. 'Library' (http://zzzone.net/photo/2009/music1.jpg): 294,000+ FLAC/MP3 files - 12 TB HD ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jimzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17592 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
