Sorry to hear about your problems. 

Adding Max sample rate to pCP will not work if your problem is LMS. 
This will only tell LMS that pCP can handle streams at the Max sample
rate of 48000, and that should tell LMS to downsample any streams with a
higher sample rate. 
So if your problem is with LMS, this approach is not going to help
