It also didn't have the issue of having to pause the LMS feed before starting airplay.
The only issue I had though is that it adds a second or so of delay to the airplay stream. Since airplay was also going to be used as a nice sound source for movies viewed on an ipad, that was a bit annoying. There has been a patch for squeezelite mentioned here https://code.google.com/archive/p/squeezelite/issues/42, but I'm also wondering if maybe jivelite is not the answer.
