I am building a new Pi 3 with Touchscreen and plan to install PCP - I would add a HAT DAC of some description but the official case has no room for any HAT so I am looking for a lowish cost USB DAC capable of at least 24/96.
The list of supported DACs is a bit misleading in that some people are reporting DACs as capable of high bit rates when they are clearly not e.g. Behringer UAC 202/222 which someone says supports 24/192 when I know it doesn't its 16/48 max. Can anybody recommend something that they themselves use with PCP that is 24/96 and costs less than £100 / $100? I just need USB in and 2 x RCA out but if it has other connections as well then all the better. Ideally it should be powered off the USB as the Pi3 is more capable than its predecessors in this regard. *Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets *Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 -> Sony TA FE 320 -> Sennheiser RS 130 & B&W P7 *Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes *Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio) *Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones *Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105018
