Wow! This is great. Putting the call to get the screen size at the beginning means it is happening before the skin is loaded, sometimes I get the size of the splash screen, 640x480 other times I get the size of the monitor 1280x1024. I think that's why the Framework:getScreenSize was originally called from the _layout function. IIRC the HD skins were designed for IR remote control use instead of a touch screen. Triode or JOA, can't remember which, added the ability to use the remote to scroll up/down through the keys with the remote, like on the radio for the search function.
