Is anyone else having problems with audio stuttering when two or more
piCorePlayers are synchronized? I have six piCorePlayers scattered
throughout my house and have them setup to play synchronized. Prior to
updating to version 3.00, I had a mix of 2.04 and 2.05 installed, with
SqueezeLite 1.8.3. (I don't remember the exact version(s) of
SqueezeLite, but I do know that the most recently updated Pi had
1.8.3-???.) Under this configuration, audio played without any
stuttering.

After updating to 3.00 (using the updated download) I started
experiencing stuttering during audio playback. Looking into the
SqueezeLite log file (all=debug), I saw skipped frames entries. If I
unsynchronized the player I was listening to, the stuttering went away
and the log contained no new skipped frames entries.

In an attempt to get back to a working configuration, I first installed
2.06 onto all six RPi's with the same results as above, including the
"it works if unsynched".

I next installed 2.05 onto all six RPi's. Under this configuration the
stuttering was gone and the log file contained no skipped frames
entries, except for maybe one at the beginning of playback. I assume
this is related to getting the six players initially synchronized.

All of the above installations were clean installs. I reformatted each
sd card, copied the piCorePlayer image and manually set up the player.
I did not update SqueezeLite from the version included in the 2.05
install. FYI, I'm running a mix of RPi V1 Model B and Model B+ devices.
On three of the RPi's I have a PiFiDigi+ installed and on the other
three I use HDMI out.

I hope this helps anyone experiencing the same problem and also helps
the developers in locating and squashing a likely bug.

Thanks for creating and continuing to enhance a fantastic LMS client for
the RaspberryPi.
