Thank you Scott for your precise answer. I am on my way to order a Piano DAC.But I am wondering if I must choose the 2.1 instead of the 2.0 I just need a stereo output, but I noticed that the 2.1 board is equipped with an LDO LT3042 and a different chip ( 5142 vs 5122 ).
Is it worth the monay to buy the 2.1 dac for a stereo output ? Is there a way to upgrade the power supply of Kali DAC, as you did for the DAC+ Pro and the DIYINK ultra low noise regulator ? When you compare DAC+ Pro ( with good 3.3v on analog and digital part ) and the combo KALI + DAC Piano 2.1 which one do you prefer ? I my audio system the Rasp PI3 + DAC+ Pro with power mods and Moode 2.7 is compared to good ESS DAC : Audiolab MDAC ( one 9018 ) and Pioneer N70A ( two 9016 ). I start my Rasp adventure to test the BB PCM5122 chip and the Linux softwares ( Runeaudio, Moode, Volumio, M2Play etc.............) The Rasp defends very well face to more expensive Hifi DAC. I must point yout that good ultra low noise regulator are not cheap...........
