OK, I've upgraded to 1.5.2 just in case and gave it 2 mins delay. The
CPU of the server is an Avoton, which is an 8-core Atom low-power
thingy. It doesn't seem to have made a difference. I've noticed that the
Radio 1 stream it's a bit better than Radio 4, in that the stuttering is
intermitted (let's say it plays 2 seconds every 30 or so) and I can
actually ssh into the PCP. I've run iperf during this stuttering and I
am seeing that the bandwidth to the server is severely reduced, from the
normal 60 Mbps to practically nothing:
Code:
--------------------
[ 4] 0.00-1.00 sec 28.3 KBytes 231 Kbits/sec 1 17.0 KBytes
[ 4] 1.00-2.00 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec 0 17.0 KBytes
[ 4] 2.00-3.00 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec 0 21.2 KBytes
[ 4] 3.00-4.00 sec 25.5 KBytes 209 Kbits/sec 0 22.6 KBytes
[ 4] 4.00-5.00 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec 0 22.6 KBytes
[ 4] 5.00-6.00 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec 0 25.5 KBytes
[ 4] 6.00-7.00 sec 25.5 KBytes 209 Kbits/sec 0 31.1 KBytes
[ 4] 7.00-8.00 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec 0 36.8 KBytes
[ 4] 8.00-9.00 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec 0 39.6 KBytes
