o.k., I've retried, using an ending of 100.000.000 and command p instead
of e during re-creation of the partition. The error message when saving
with w is the same, but now the pi is still there after reboot:

    tc@piCorePlayer:~$ sudo resize2fs /dev/mmcblk0p2
  resize2fs 1.43.3 (04-Sep-2016)
  Filesystem at /dev/mmcblk0p2 is mounted on /mnt/mmcblk0p2; on-line resizing
  old_desc_blocks = 1, new_desc_blocks = 191
  The filesystem on /dev/mmcblk0p2 is now 49963136 (1k) blocks long.
