OK I now "see" the screen shot - I ignored first time because it didn't
look like anything to do with LMS - you cropped the LMS part.

Not supported in the distributed format.

My BBCiPlayer plugin add DASH and HLS support which is not in LMS
standard.

C-3PO adds to LMS transcoding by examining headers and modifying the
standard transcoding process - but I think you said C-3PO had problems
with other files ?

No idea what Daphile does or how it has been modified but a dump of the
log of player,.source to DEBUG would give and indication.

If you are willing to modify LMS and then continue to support the mods
with new versions of LMS - then anything is possible.

I will look at the other info you supplied later but at this point (I
may be wrong after looking at info) I think you will be faced with
choices.
1. You modify (maybe code, maybe just conf file) LMS and/or squeezelite
to your requirements - but it will have limitations and you will have to
support it. For example, the possibility of adding a dxd audio type -
at a minimum file name would have to use special suffix such as dxd and
not wav.
2. Convert your files once after download and then use standard
supported LMS etc.
