Lineare HW VC update. It's running. I rewrote the linear HW VC in output_alsa.c. And it's IMO not just a dirty hack. Works great. Linear all over the place! 1click=1dB!! * It works for all DACs (PCM51xx or Sabre) * No more triple logarithm curves * No calculations or ambiguous settings or rounding issues For the time being I left out ReplayGain and Crossfade. Both of them IMO doesn't make sense in a 1dB/click HW VC env anyhow. Lot of worms are pushed back into the can. ;) However. LMS seems to have a problem. LMS delivers ambiguous and even wrong order data while going down the 100->0 scale. ambiguous values: 47/48=3328 44/45=2816 42/41=2304 wrong order: 40/39=2048/2050 ( unbelievable - yep it goes up on 39!) How can I address this towards LMS? @Ralphy are you still there? - I'm a bit disappointed. Not a single word from your side on the subject.
