Another way is to use a physical button. I have one set up to momentarily short GPIO3 to GND, and then I use the 'Poweroff/Shutdown Overlays' section under the 'Tweaks' page of pCP. Pressing this while the Pi is awake will halt the system. The advantage of using GPIO3 is that shorting this to GND while the Pi is halted will wake it again, so this functions as a power toggle switch for the Pi.
