Hi everybody, I got the solution. I had not realised that squeezelite only starts when the Bluetooth speaker is turned on. I assume this might be mentioned somewhere on the 30 pages but I had not seen it.
Now the problem is solved. Thanks for the help. Why the ue boom prefers the pi over an already connected device however is not so clear to me.
