I was waiting for this question :). My router is on the ground floor. My Pi at the first floor wear an Allo Digione card that is linked to my DAC. And my DAC is linked to my speakers. So, I can't put my Pi with my router on the ground floor. With pCp 5.0, I never had a problem of Wifi connexion. Therefore, my Pi was seen on the network and I was able to stream my music from it via Google chromecast audio to my old hifi stereo located on the ground floor.
