Since you are using a Raspberry Pi 4 the WiFi device should be the on-board one - which is presumably OK because Raspbian worked when you used it over WiFi on the same RPi. I am away from home without RPi4 in the area - but I think the boot diagnostics might help because they could be compared with what someone else sees with same h/w s/w.
