I have used the alsamixer settings from aiy raspbian build and used them on my rpi zero w with AIY voicebonnet v2 running PCP 6 and it works great, stereo on headphones and speakers.
I left the Audio output device settings to "Analog audio" changed "Squeezelite Settings", Specify the output device to "hw:CARD=aiyvoicebonnet,DEV=0" ssh into the rpi run alsamixer, F6, select voicebonnet device, set all the options accordiing to the AIY working settings exit alsamixer in the PCP web interface, click "Card Control", click "Save" (Save ALSA mixer settings to make them available after a reboot.)
