Ubuntu is up and running, LMS is up and running - but without a music
library. I managed to mount the NAS' "Multimedia" folder, but I cannot
access most subfolders in midnight commander, unless I start it with
sudo. I'm able to access these folders with my username using Windows,
but I guess this method uses a different type of permission, namely
"Users and Groups permission".

The NAS itself runs QLMS and can access the files and folders, so I
assume -these- permissions are okay.

To mount the folder, I had to enable NFS in QNAP, so I guess that's
what's making problems now in some way. I allowed R/W permission to the
ubuntu server's IP address in permission type "NFS host access".

This is what top says:

Code:
--------------------

  381173 squeeze+ 20 0 194188 156188 13972 S 0.1 1.9 0:04.70
squeezeboxserve (<- There's no r there, I didn't cut it off)

--------------------

The user squeezeboxserver has R/W access for the main share (Multimedia)
and RO access for the music library. This worked for the (Q)LMS
installed on the NAS, but not the LMS on ubuntu using the NAS' files on
a share.

I'm grateful for any help.
