Thanks Steve, I had not heard of this before.
Good place to start, but I would use the info with a educated guess.
This is the first time I have used it and I checked my Quicksilver G4/944
and got these various readings:
Booted in OS 9:
Title: 406.PowerMac G4
Machine: 406- NewWorld machine (iMac, Blue G3, CHRP...)
Power Mac G4
Processor: G4/7455 (949 MHz) - 'pclk' = 933 Mhz
System version: 9.2.2
Booted in OS X, it opens Classic and gives:
Title: 1206.Classic Mac OS Compatibili (sic)
Machine: 1206- BlueBox
Classic Mac OS Compatibility
Processor: G4/7455 (409 MHz) - 'pclk' = 933 Mhz
System version: 9.2
After it saves GestLabXCapt.config and you click on that, it gives:
Title: GestLabXCapt.config
Machine: ????
Processor: G4/7455 - 'pclk' = 933 Mhz
System version: Mac OS X
My Pismo/400 moved some of the info around a bit, but had similar
discrepancies.
Just my 2.
