When you're looking at the system overview page, the number in brackets 
is from the Frq2 line - that's a pseudoselector based on a calculation. 
Real Clock speed is pclk.
I think that would explain the discrepancy between OS9 and Classic.

Which I have tested on two different 400 mhz Sonnets. Mine, about a year 
old, pclk reads 400. A friend's, about three months old, reads 350 mhz.
