Hi there,
Thanks for your reply - the card is a Powerlogix Powerforce G3/400
I've been trying various bus speeds & the absolute best I've been able to
achieve is 260MHz on a 45MHz bus. I have tried leaving the multiplier at
the same rate & changing the bus, but on the Powerlogix chart in the
manual, it's virtually a diagonally straight line for the card working
under OSX as follows:
40MHz bus - 260MHz processor
45MHz bus - 247MHz processor
45MHz bus - 225MHz processor
46.7MHz bus - 233MHz processor
50MHz bus - 225MHz processor
Under OS9.1, the card runs at 400MHz on the 50MHz bus with no
problems. Does anyone know why OSX has a problem with the different CPU
speeds & the bus speeds - is it some sort of dependency on the bus speed
that lets OSX run?
Bye for now, Terry Allen
