Will, I purchased a new "supported" Epson printer to hook up to my flat panel iMac and it does not work. Printing involves telling it to print, getting an error message, stopping the printer queue, telling it to retry printing, starting the queue, and then it prints. In my opinion that is not "supported." I suspect the Epson Photo 700 Printer we have will probably never have an OSX driver. I do, however, have hopes for it via an AXIS ethernet printer adapter. I was very encouraged by the number of hardware items that worked with the iMac and OSX. So, at least there is hope for most of them with the 9600. Getting back to type for a moment... printed text is my only complaint with OSX. I don't know if it is me, my new Epson printer or OSX? But, I find that the quality of type in OSX stinks. I am talking about the unique characteristics of a font. I spent an entire day installing Suitcase, configuring it, and installing the 500+ fonts I own. But, everything I print in OSX look like marshmallows. I want to see variations in thick to thin, and nice crisp serifs again. I miss printer fonts already and I don't even own a postscript printer.
