I don't have the info in front of me either but what I remember is:
OSX does not need to be in the first partition but it does need to be 
in the first 8gb of a drive. In other words you could have say 2 
partitions in the first 8 gb and have OSX in either the first 
partition or the 2 one.Someone else may have the statement that gives 
the exact info but I think that is how it works. I don't have time to 
look for it. I need to be working....later Will S
