My PM6500 has a constant connection to my OSX machine. I have never had a problem. I use the OSX box as my mp3 server, so it sees a lot of use. A few notes;
1. Pre OS9 versions tend to be flaky 2. Must have 'Allow Connections Over TCP/IP' selected in the sharing panel in order to connect from the OSX machine. 3.
