Depending on the card, IXMicro is supported , at least through 10.1.5, 
since I was using an IX Micro  3D card until then. IX Micro cards were 
shipped with officially supported configurations of Macs, so I expect 
the drivers are there.

I didn't need to install any drivers under OSX. However, It did install 
to the internal video (which I was also running.) Right now, I'm using 
a Radeon pci card, as my only video, since the monitor on my internal 
video failed, so nothing appears until OSX is done booting. I don't 
know about installs.
