Audio has worked fine on my S900 for years under OSX (ever since 10.0.3). I have had mild isolated problems where the sound hardware just never initalized at startup, a reboot would always fix that problem, and it would go months before happening again. I heeded the advice and had system sleep set to never. I did have HD and monitor set to go to sleep in 10 and 25 miniutes.
