Speaking from my own experience, I would advise against getting a SIIG 100/133 Pro ATA controller card. Most SIIG's probably work fine, however, mine never worked properly, and I've had no help from them.
Having wasted a year of time, two new ATA drives that appear to be hopelessly screwed (any attempt to use them causes the computer to freeze at the grey screen), lost work, and much sweat, I bought a used VST ATA controller card off of Ebay, and finally have working ATA drives in my 9500.
Scott,
I've got a Sonnet ATA100 card in my 9600 and it's been flawless. Also is flash upgradable, and works in 9.x as well as 10.x. Under 9.x seen as SCSI card but under 10.x seen correctly as ATA card. And is also bootable.
Cheers
Simon
