Your PTPro's motherboard should run at 50 MHz without a problem, just remove the MBoard L2 cache as it may not achieve this speed (PowerComputing L2 caches were very good, so you probably don't need to do this). After running at 450 MHz, you may want to try bumping up the bus speed to 52 or 54 MHz to see what the MBoard will support. My 7600 goes to 57 MHz but my 7300 only goes to 53 MHz. Depends on the luck of the draw.
The PTPros I've tested will do up to 60 MHz without too much trouble, provided that the CPU card can tolerate that speed. Note, that the CPU card tolerating it is not the same as the CPU card having an adjustment that enables it. Of course, YMMV.
The machines which have on-board video (7x00, 8x00) seem to be much more limited in the bus speed that they support. I guess the CHAOS/Control chip can't tolerate the higher bus speeds, but the Hammerhead and Bandit alone do fine up to 60 MHz or so, in the machines I've tested (about a dozen).
