Hi all,

Okay...The HD is bootable under OS 9 without any extensions whatsoever. This evening I took the 1 gig SCSI disk off the bus entirely by pulling its power connector. I booted with a 9.1 CD and launched Drive Setup. DS saw the WD 40 gig HD as a SCSI device on Bus 2 with an ID of 0. I repartitioned it with 8 gigs in the first part, 10 on the second (for a fresh OS9), and 18 or whatever on the third for server space. The drives formatted NP and the XDrive had a formatted capacity of less than 8gb in the end. I rebooted into the fresh 9...Launched Navigator and DLed the XPF3 beta. I told it to install to the X drive and boot from a 10.2 cd that I have used for installation on my rev. A iMac, so I know it works. It rebooted into the preliminary console....It SEEMS to see the ATA card in the list of data going by. The installer eventually loads, and now when I get to the please select a drive to install to, it is completely empty in the window. The X installer's Drive Utility sees nothing but the CD ROM. No HD at all.

AFAIK, I don't need drivers to boot into 9 at all, but the Profiler, and Drive Setup see it as a SCSI device rather than an ATA.

Has anyone out there gotten this card to work under XPF?

Thanks,
Scott
