SCSI drives don't suffer from the <8 gig partition size problem. I've got 10.2.6 on an 18 gig IBM drive that's a single partition. Only IDE drives (and not all IDE controllers have this problem) will have this problem. Mine does, unfortunately. It's a VST Ultratek66 controller.
