I really should take some basic courses on graphic design and how it relates to software development BEFORE I choose a tool to use for my imaging tasks. I'm not sure about Gimp but it's because I'm not sure what to do with it. Besides, I hate the bug-eyed, coyote-on-steroids icon they use.
