Obviously I am +1 on this one...

I have actually already prepared the svn dumpfile of the project from the
subversion.cru.fr repository. So pending the blessings from the community, I
would very much like to start getting this migrated over. Since the project is
already widely used by other institutions, I’m inclined to bypass the "contrib"
incubation space and create a dedicated area in the repository for it –
uportal-ws? Or, since it’s uPortal-specific, might we incorporate this as an
included submodule of uPortal itself (again, named uportal-ws)? If the latter
is preferred, perhaps we could "stage" the project in the "contrib" space first
before bringing it into the uPortal trunk.

In addition, I’d also like to create a supporting project in JIRA, and start
updating the Confluence documentation as well.

Thoughts?
