Yes, I consider contacting Altera to be a good idea. I only wanted to have some feedback from the UrJTAG group that it does have a sense (ie. that some of you guys is not finishing much better STAPL player just now). I will write them soon. Besides this, I may contact our local opensource freedom guru prof. Ales Cepek for his oppinion.
