--- Comment #126 from Tomasz "CeDeROM" CEDRO <to...@cedro.info> ---
I have switched to Intel Ultra9 285K with ASUS TUF Z890 PRO WIFI with
PCI-Ex16_Gen5 port with Nvidia GTX1060 and also occasionally have all onboard
USB controllers hang on 14.2-RELEASE AMD64. I added PCI-E NEC USB3 controller
and that one works when all others fail. There are however other problems
reported with modern setups like audio clicks or nvidia hiccups, sometimes USB
hangs too. Machine works otherwise in USB hanging state, I can power it off
with a power button and then power off is prevented at "unloading
nvidia-modeset" stage need hard power off. Maybe this is related somehow.

On my old setup with AMD FX-8320 CPU and ASUS Sabretooth 2.0 I had frequent USB
ports resets, but not leading to all USB controllers failure, I thought this is
hardware problem. But after completely replacing cpu+mobo+ram+psu+gpu problem
persist in a different form - there are no port resets just all usb controllers
fail as described above.
