Hi
I once had a similar problem, but unfortunately I'm not sure how I
dealt with it, or how or by whom I got help from (maybe from Vesa?). I
think the problem was either related to cylinders, imported v3.x
cylinders, or imported cutted elliopsoids (curved conecylinder sortof) from
v3.x. I think it narrowed down to certain imported objects having their cover
attributte (and/or hollow) not being set correctly (maybe combined with flipped
normals as per the v5 SP1 bug). At the time you couldn't set this attributte,
but I believe you can now. However, if the project was imported ages ago, this
could be the bug causing it.
Have you tried re-importing the bad cylinders
only?
Does the rendering bug still occur if you re-create one
of the bad cylinders and delete the old one?
If this helps, maybe someone could help write a script
that reads the existing cylinder data, and re-creates them, and deletes the
old ones?
It's too good a scene to go amiss caused by a stupid bug
:-)
Sorry if I couldn't be of more help, but... errr... I hope it
helps.
