I've been trying to find a way to make a wheel (disc) rotate with magnets
attached to it by moving other magnets around the disc. The compass anchor
is not very steady even with the accuracy of the collision detection on the
anchor and the ring turned up to 20. The needle just passes through the
anchor.
I've also tried the orientation constraint script which is close but I need
a free-wheeling constraint object (disc). In the orientation constraint
script, the constraint object follows the rotation of the target objects. I
don't mind the target objects being there to hold the axis in place but I
need the disc to turn around the axis by the changing field created by the
surrounding magnets movement.
There must be a JS constraint script that I can attach to a disc that will
do the same as the anchor in the compass example.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
