Hi Matthias & List : Thanks to all who responded calmly to my terrible rant .
It was only kidding you, (<- full hit :-?)
Sorry , and I apologise for misunderstanding your mail . I totally missed your emoticon . Not sure why it hit such a nerve in me . Perhaps I've been working too hard with com- puters . Time to take a tiny break .
as said long time ago: whenever you're in Germany, call me for some good beer :-)
Thanks again . Maybe one day a quick trip to Europe .
For "normal" work RS has all tools build in, and when it comes to bigger productions it's normal to use all available apps which can be grabbed to make live easier. That's my small opinion. Matthias
I agree totally , and I think Realsoft has this in mind too . If we look how the RS channel system is set up we can see how easily raytracings can be sent to After Effects (etc etc) and then shadows/refections/specularity/RGB/DOF (etc etc) can be tweaked until we're satisfied . I'm positive that Vesa & Juha would say "if you can do better character animation stuff in messiah: , by all means do so , and then use RS3D for what it is currently best at" . However , I still feel RS has many, many unlocked secrets , such as in the character animation toolset , and that we as a community of users are merely a plugin or series of tutorials away from utilizing those current feature sets . studio
