For the first time you can make really photorealistic renders with RS in the
easy way.
AO material is so much better with the skin material. I used those materials
with my character model and I can say that model was allmost photorealistic.

Good work Realsoft! There are still memory leaks and white screen of death,
but still this release is far the best I've seen.

Today I finally had the opportunity to have a look at the Building tools and you are completely right - I've only seen the tip of the iceberg but it's already incredible! For my next project I'll certainly have a go at it. (deadline 15 jan... not too much time to check out other features like fbx, realflow, etc) The new Measurement tools are also great, I always missed that in pre-V6. And then we have rounded analytical cubes, hugely improved GI and AO, the plants, the walkthru, super-efficient instances, etc etc. It's an architecture visualizer's heaven!

Hi Mark,

Haven't looked at fbx nor realflow, but I've played with the plant generator
for almost a day. It's not as straight forward as the building tool, but
it's very promising. Much better and faster to render than the trees that I
used to make in another app. and imported in RS3D.
I fully agree with you about the measure system, it even updates
dynamically!

My works is under no NDA, there's no good reason why there's hardly anything
on my website. But only a few days ago I've asked someone to design a small
and simple site for me with some of my work on it. Shouldn't take long (I
hope).

V6 is really very Wow. There's one wish from the heart for V7 though: "snap
at intersection" and "construct a line perpedicular to another
line/surface". Agree?
