I wonder, are people using it?
Yep, every day ... commercial and my own stuff.

I think your point about it being easier to integrate RS in to other
pipelines is a valid point but I imagine the various developers
would need to collaborate on this, and effectively license each
other's APIs for it to work. This may cost RS quite a bit of money
though, especially if they need to buy into a partner program where
there are already established partners.
I don't know how that works, money would be a sad reason.
I'm getting a little frustrated watching all those wonderful plugins
integrated in the established 3d software... never is RS on the list. Too
small to bother with or they even never heard of it...
At least we have Realflow import now, that's something. Never tried it
yet..
On the other hand, the lack of postings on this list might just be
indicating that people are having few problems with RD3D and are
just getting on with using it, so don't need to use the list very
much. Sure, it's nice to hear about what other folk are doing, but
when they're busy, people haven't got time to stop and chat about
unimportant stuff.

Ha, that's a positive twist, but probably wishful thinking - there are
always problems ;)
I wonder, are people using it? Haven't seen any output lately. But on the
other hand I myself haven't shown the tons of RS work done in 2008 yet,
haven't had many questions and was very busy... then a 3 month period of
'3d-tiredness' which is now over I hope.
