I figured I had a half-working module. Which will install the first time, but after that it got corrupted. Removing that module solved my problem half-way.
I did check if both are populated, I tripple-checked if both instances look at the correct schema's. For now I have it that I work with one instance only. This seems to work ok. I bootstrap it as author first. Then later I bootstrap as public (first gracefuly shut down author). Btw, cleaning the repository did not make this dissapear. So that lead me to thinking something else corrupts it (as it always corrupted the 2nd time or later). The broken module I had was I think causing this.
