Thanks for the Post. Really helped us today to learn more about magnolia. We ran in to an issue which corrupted the indexes on the server. All we had to do was to go [webapp]/repositories/magnolia/workspaces/[workspacename]/index and remove all the files with in the index folder and restart the server. This fixed our public instance.
However, our Author instance is still messed up. http://magnolia/.magnolia/pages/adminCentral.html directly logs in as an anonymous user. Doesn't even take us to the login page. Wierd part is, it doesn't logout.
