Hi Vivek! Magnolia 2.1.2 is already out for a couple of days. However this is not directly related - I guess - to your question. If I got it correctly you are asking if in case you check out source code of Magnolia 2.1.2 you will be able to build it on your machine: I think you may give it a try and report here any problems you might have. The 2.x branches are not Maven multiprojects so you should be able to easily create an Eclipse project for it and build it.
