and who runs/owns Magnolia organization? The committers? Or are committers becoming members at some points?
Are there any bylaws?

Magnolia Org is a company whose mission is to develop Magnolia to its full potential. Its a subsidiary of obinary. You cannot become a member or anything the like. If you wish, you can join as an employee, though ;-)

Any OS project is run by an individual, or a company, or a group of volunteers. In the case of Magnolia, its run by a company, but external committers are welcome. There are many examples of companies running open source projects. Apache is not one of them. EZ systems is. Typo3 is not. centricCRM is. The list goes on for a long time...

thanks for the info. I am totally fine with that Magnolia is being governed by a subsidiary of obinary, but it might make sense to declare this on the website, resp. I couldn't find that info (sorry if I might have missed that).
