That didn't work either. It gives 404 error "resource not available"...
But why does it work when I say
ecodat1.freshwaterlife.org/riverFlyProject when my root page is
riverFlyProject and when it is features then it work on
ecodat1.freshwaterlife.org

Try mapping / to /riverFlyProject.html in the mapping named default
under VirtualURIMapping.  At this point, features is just noise you
don't need to continue referring to.
